Quartz surfacing is known for its variety of color options, durability, and low maintenance appeal. Many of our customers choose LUCASTONE™ Quartz for its consistency and uniformity that you don’t always get with natural stone; it is often used to compliment natural stone as well. Our selection ranges from vivid colors to more simple neutrals.
LUCASTONE™ Quartz is a line of engineered stone that combines the beauty of nature with the durability of science. LUCASTONE™ Quartz surfacing is extremely solid and non-porous, characterized by its resistance to scratching and staining, and its overall durability.
At Francini Inc., not only do we have the premier selection of colors and designs, LUCASTONE™ Quartz line gives us the ability to further customize your design project. All LUCASTONE™ Quartz products are in compliance with the NSF standards for surfaces used in medical, laboratory and food-preparation facilities.
Please note, material composition may vary by color.
Quartz isn't short for quartzite, and the two are quite different. Quartz is engineered, while quartzite is a naturally occurring stone. But a quartz countertop is created with the same crystals found in quartzite, bound with resins, pigments, and bits of glass.
Like most engineered stones, LUCASTONE™ Quartz can be created in a limitless palette of colors and have veining or flecks that are easy to reproduce across slabs consistently. This makes it an incredibly versatile material to design with. Additionally, LUCASTONE™ Quartz is very durable!
Cleaning a LUCASTONE™ Quartz countertop is easy. Dip a clean sponge or paper towel in a mixture of neutral cleanser and lukewarm water, and use it to wipe the surface of your countertop. Repeat the process at least once per week to keep your LUCASTONE™ Quartz countertop gleaming.
Quartz isn't as expensive as marble, but it offers the best visual alternative to marble. If you want the feel and appearance of marble in your kitchen, you can go for the various marble-looking countertops without breaking the bank. LUCASTONE™ Quartz countertops are durable and suit your busy kitchen. You will find two marble-inspired quartz color palettes at Francini - Marmo Series and Movimento Marmo Series.
Laminate can be cheaper than quartz, but a look at its numerous downsides will make you think twice. The lamination can peel away, look tacky, and be easily chipped or marked by a knife. These reasons indicate laminate isn't the best option for a busy kitchen. It's no wonder many homeowners are dropping it and upgrading to LUCASTONE™ Quartz.
LUCASTONE™ Quartz is a smooth, non-porous material with a stain-resistant surface. It is available in a limitless range of colors and patterns. You can easily distinguish it from glass due to its naturally occurring irregularities.
